Design professional software solutions: You systematically create and design user-friendly software according to high quality standards. Using practical examples, you gain a deeper understanding of the software development process, from analysis to delivery.

- Ethics for computer scientists
- Requirements engineering (personas, use cases, user stories, scenarios, prototypes)
- Usability (dialogue principles, UI elements)
- Foundations of security
- Foundations of software architecture
- Quality assurance and test management
- Software development processes (overview, Scrum)
- End-to-End example (requirements, architecture, quality) which may include an ai component
Competencies
Students are able to
- describe the importance of the software development phases
- specify their sequence in different development processes,
- know the benefits of human computer interaction and security, and take these into account in development projects.
- know the challenges of requirements engineering, architectural design, and quality assurance, and to find appropriate solutions in development projects.
