Developing physical systems for people: You'll build intelligent phyiscal systems that solve real-world problems and are user-centered.
Contents
- Apply methods & tools for the UCD Process (Interviews, surveys, focus groups, usability evaluation, etc.)
- Basics of programming and system design with Arduino & sensors.
- Working in an interdisciplinary team project.
- Applying the UCD process for a societal problem.
- Presenting the results in front of an audience.
- Example topics: Multi-user home automation systems, Ar quality monitoring systems for preventive healthcare
Competencies
Students are able to
- Develop a cyber physical sensor-data based prototype for a given societal problem.
- Understand the user centred design (UCD) process.
- Choose an appropriate design or evaluation technique for the UCD process for a specific context.
- Present the prototype and its development process to an audience.
