Foundations of micro controller technology (GMT)
2. Semester
5 ECTS | 4 SWS
Written Exam 90 Minutes (K90)
Small Computers, Big Impact: Program microcontrollers, analyze embedded processes, and understand how they are used in devices and machines.
Contents
- Foundations of micro controller technology
- Foundations of digital technology
- Programming of micro computers
Competencies
Students are able to
- know the foundational principles how micro controllers work within their physical environment,
- implement simple programs on micro controllers, to observe the result and to correct the implementation appropriately.
- understand the structure of a modern RISC micro controller,
- understand discretization of time and amplitude,
- understand and apply fixed-point and floating-point arithmetics.
